Hui Neng, the sixth ancestor, subverted the language
We need to subvert the language, make it worthless, and the immortal language must be subverted. Either the Confucian group culture language is the name or the Greek logic is the same symbol, or the logical name becomes the China orthodoxy, and it needs to be subverted. The new generation of language is subverted, and the old generation of language is broken before it can reproduce new meanings.
The unification of the Song Dynasty means that the public text is not a subversion.
The public text can be said to be the development of Buddhism in China’s vernacular. The Tang Dynasty in China has gradually modeled the foreskin including Buddhist scriptures. The Buddhist sayings are no longer seen. People who read Buddhist scriptures are considerable in Bodhisattva’s deep Prajna Paramita. When they look at the five aggregates for a long time, they see all the sufferings. The relics are the same color, and they have been read without hindrance. Nothing that does not make people feel excited is to read a Buddhist scripture.
Therefore, Zen Buddhism, a sect that doesn’t believe in language, thinks that language is a misunderstanding, and language will lead to a more absurd and treacherous path of practice. Finally, neither language nor words will turn the righteousness of Buddhism into a simple and easy-to-understand vernacular to promote Buddhism.
Zen Buddhism can be traced back to Sakyamuni Buddha’s smiling story. When Sakyamuni Buddha picked up a flower and gave it to his eldest brother, Jia Ye, without saying a word, he took it to Jia Ye and smiled. After that, his soul mate did not need language. The ancestor of Dharma was the first generation of Zen Buddhism. He came from India to China to practice hard at Shaolin Temple for nine years, not words but deeds.
Penance, silence is a lonely language. He knows what he is looking for. When you are quiet and lonely, your heart language will emerge. You are not communicating with others, but when you communicate with yourself, the language will take on another state. No matter whether Zen or western sects are closed, Catholicism is called closing and meditation. Participants usually feel sad on the first day. People are going crazy, but it is in this way that Dharma changed the language from an outward behavior to an outward behavior and handed the Buddhism to the second, third, fourth and fifth ancestors until the sixth ancestor Hui Neng.
The story of Hui Neng, the fifth ancestor of Hongren and the sixth ancestor of Hongren, is the most exquisite in language, subverting Zen Buddhism. By the time of Hongren, many younger brothers wanted to inherit his mantle and compete for the inheritance of the law. Hongren was very upset when he was looking for a successor. This story was recorded in the altar sutra of the Sixth Ancestor and read like a martial arts novel. Seeing monks competing for the position of the Sixth Ancestor and competing for the leader of the Wulin in the martial arts novel, I think Wuzu would also feel a sense of loneliness in the process of searching, because he could not find a truly enlightened person who could transcend language and writing.
Among many successors, Shen Xiu called for the highest praise. He wrote a song, The Bodhisattva tree is the heart of the mirror, and he always wiped it off frequently. The younger brothers rushed to recite it. After listening to it, they didn’t express their opinions. They continued to let everyone guess this song. In the ears of a master named Hui Neng, a leader of the kitchen, this illiterate man who chopped wood and cooked rice every day had no chance to hear Buddhist scriptures or get in touch with class culture, but he immediately replied that the Bodhisattva tree mirror was not a platform to make dust in one place. If he was afraid of being dirty, he would practice.

The fifth ancestor heard Hui Neng’s silence and verbally said nonsense. Then he knocked three times on Hui Neng’s head and left with his hand behind his back. The story developed into a myth here. Hui Neng actually understood the meaning of the fifth ancestor because he was knocked three times. It should be noted that the only language here is nonsense, and everything else is behavior.
Hui Neng went to knock on Wuzu Hongrenmen in the middle of the night, and Wuzu told him to sit down and read the Diamond Sutra to him, because the most important thing of Dharma is that the Diamond Sutra should be read and his heart should be born. When he didn’t remember it, he could be born with compassion. When Hui Neng, a bold leader, still told Hongren, I got it. You didn’t talk about Wuzu, so I immediately gave him the cassock and told him to escape immediately and be hunted down. Wuzu told him not to even bring his robe if necessary. Later, Hui Neng became a new teacher in Huangmei, Guangdong.
The Southern Sect was developed by an illiterate person, which is a mockery of the culture of the Tang Dynasty. So many people are constructing a language and writing structure, which is subverted by a firewood master and subverts the innovative pattern.
